Does this mean O'Neals rehab isn't going well?

If he can still be the stream rolling blocker, I'm all for it. He use to open up some big holes for the Chargeless and I think he did a pretty good job with the Ravens too.

I like the possibility. Neal could give Marshall some pointers on SD's offense and start immediately. Do it, Al...

Would be a nice pick up, we need veteran leadership our team is VERY young.

Excellent addition if it happens. Would love to see it for DMC and Fargas. Although, somewhere someone is probably saying Al is reaching again. I say go get him Al.
A perfect stopgap to OO and insurance in case he doesnt heal up in time. Lawton had some drops last lear and isnt a blocking powerhouse like neal.

I've always liked Neal. He would be a good mentor..as far as playing I don't know how much he has left. Isn't he like 40? Lol

We saw and talked to O'Neal last weekend. He says he is on schedule but he has really got a noticeable limp which was commented on by many people at Ricky's on Saturday. As for Neal it looks like a done deal.

Where does it look like a done deal? And the news you've posted about Oren is probably the reason why we are picking him up. I hope he can play again, I really liked him but I remember when he went down it was "career threatening" supposedly.

The best thing for the Raiders to do is sign Neal to a 1 year deal I may be a little high here on Oren O'neal, but the way he played in 2007, paving the way for Fargas (which is why he had a 1,000 yard season-barely) was just great football.
O'neal has a great future here. Don't ruin it Cable. Play it safe, put him on the inactive list til mid-season if you have to.
I'm sure Lorenzo Neal woud love to get in the face of his former team twice a year, plus I hear he's a good mentor and leader to the younger guys. I say sign Neal, play it safe with O'neal.
Sh!t, in the mean time O'neal can learn from Neal. :mean:

Yea it seems like it should be going down any day now....solid pickup. The Chargers' run game has been clearly weaker since he left. He's a great locker room presence as well. Hopefully Oren O'Neal recovers well, but let's not take any chances and bring in a solid vet until he's ready.

For the first time ever, Kirk Morrison enters a season knowing 100% for sure he will not be pancaked by Lorenzo Neal.

My hope is that this isn't a bad sign about Oren O'Neal and his knee. Other than that I really enjoy this pickup. While it is an insurance for Oren, I also think that he will teach him a thing or two because both play the FB position the same way.
Back to Lorenzo himself, dude has a locker room presence, hard worker, and it could keep Michael Bush at the RB position where he belongs as we would have our two active FBs (Lorenzo & Luke Lawton) since we cut Justin Griffith. Lorenzo may be old yes...he's 38 years old but he still has some gas left in him.
LaDainian Tomlinson had some big games running behind Lorenzo, I can just imagine McFadden running behind Neal

Thats the problem with this assumption... Its just not that easy.

I would really love this move. Lorenzo Neal is a tough player and could really teach a lot to our young players we currently have on the roster.
Veteran leadership is something this team sorely lacks, and Neal has been around long enough to know the ins and outs of the league, as well as lay the groundwork for future success.
I would support this move 100% if it were to happen.
