its from a poster on youtube, but he also posts that he got these stats from the sites of texas tech and maryland...
" If you look at DHB he was a victim of poor talent around him. You compare his stats to Crabtree's (%=as far as % of team's production) it looks like this:
% of receptions - Crabtree 22% to DHB - 19%
% of receiving yards - Crabtree 22.7% to DHB 22.7%
% of receiving tds - Crabtree 41.9% to 33.3%
YPC - Crabtree 12.2 to DHB 14.5
Total % of Offensive Yardage - Crabtree 13.5% to DHB 18.2% "

hmmm. Thanks 8ball.
excellent.... Let's see the asshole psuedo-draftniks come out and refute that the offense at Texas Tech was not geared around Crabtree...
Let's see them argue that system had nothing to do with it...
I would love to see Crabtree, in a pro-style offense... Lined up at X, one on one EVERY play and put up 124 catches and 22 TD's..
Guess what? IT WOULD NEVER EVER EVER EVER HAPPEN!!!

Except Crabtree could catch a fastball from Roger Clemens and Heyward-Bey couldn't hold onto Chris Turner's puny McCown arm throws.

^^ Roger Clemens ON the roids or OFF the roids? My guess it both.

He's got a whole summer of camp to work it out...
DHB happens to catch the ball very naturally.
I can tell you for fact and from a self experience standpoint.
Hand strength can be taught, easily. DHB is a natural hand/eye athlete. But he didn't play football in college. Catching footballs every day in practice, especially 2 a days will do A LOT for your hand strength..
Now think about some of these athletes who have had 4 year head starts on DHB. It only makes sense that some of these WR's hands will be more developed.
But hand strength can be taught. Naturally being a hand/eye athlete cannot. It can be refined, but not taught.
Fred Biletnikoff, one of the best pair of hands to ever play.. Used to hang weights off of his fingers for hours a day to strengthen his hands. Finger tip pushups, rice grabs, grips... all these things can be implemented.
This is where the work ethic shines through....

Once again, I beg you to show me some film of his bad hands. Are you basing your so called facts on what the so called experts said?
Btw, I was a TE during most of my years in football and I always thought that passes that were zipped to me were easier to catch than the floaters...
Notice how many of DHB receptions are in traffic where not only the cb, but also the safety has time to get there and position for the play. Notice the different numbers on the jersey throwing the ball in the clips. Notice that when he actually gets thrown a strike, he does it almost effortlessly in stride, where his double catches come on the rainbows...just sayin
Im not arguing that we had better needs to fill at #7 and maybe we did make a huge mistake in missing crabtree the PLAYER, but dhb is obviously a hard worker and a talented athlete, his hands will come around quick.

Why are you asking me for film of his hands? Where the hell am I supposed to find that? I can't find film of any college WR dropping a ton of balls because no one makes YouTube highlight films of that.
Theres a youtube video of Kwame Harris giving up sack after sack, why wouldnt there be one of drops or missed tackles etc... And even if there was, it wouldnt stop Al from drafting him...he ran a 4.25!!!

Dude, come on ....
youre talking about the man, the legend, KWAME HARRIS...
lets not get greedy now... Theres only so many blundering highlights to go around
I refuse to have a Mike Mitchell sig.... bad choice Don
A tackle who will forever live in infamy, as the bigges pussy known to man.

naw it aint a bad choice. I'm not even trippen off dude. Hell he may be a ST lifer for all we know and the worst second round pick of NFL history. But ya know what, I like how dude hits and that the bottom line. ITs the intent behind the player at this stage. And his intent is to put fools in the hospital, so I respect that.

YOU AREN'T supposed to find it. The so called EXPERTS on TV that you're backing up should. If they're going to go out of their way to bash a player they should have some physical evidence to back it up. That's all I'm saying...

You know the evidence exists though. The idea that Heyward-Bey drops a lot of balls isn't new, it's been part of his scouting report since day 1. Ask any hardcore Maryland fan about him and they'll say he drops passes and disappears for games at a time. His college numbers aren't great. I've seen him do it myself so I can attest to it.
We needed a game-ready WR. Now we've got a raw project at QB and a raw project at WR, and a questionable coaching staff working on their development. Sorry but I think this is a pretty huge mess.

To be honest, I don't, or I wouldn't bother asking.
Again, L, I'm not supporting the pick. I wanted RAJI!..

Do it Feisty. I'd love to win by forfeit. Fuck it, "just win baby," right? I bet a forfeit win would still require fireworks and parties.

That is a legitimate knock on DHB the fact he may not be game ready week 1.
The thing I feel he gives the Raiders from the get go is the ability to stretch the field and spread out the defense to give more running room for Mcfadden, Bush, and Fargas.
We will see tho if he turns into a Steve Smith type WR or another Lelie.

I think our offense is gonna be somewhat like the vikings run heavy offense with WR that strecth the field that opens up the middle for them. Thats why i thihnk we drafted DHB and noit crabtree. Crabtree isnt gonna open up any holes for anyone else, HE WILL make plays no doubt. But like Cable said its about making the team better.
I personally still wanted Raji then trade back up to get NIcks or robiskie who i think statistacly wise will be the better WR this year. MACKLIN is gonna absolutly flop in philly.
