He doesn't look that big, and he's listed as a DT.
Looks more like a 3-4 DE than a 4-3 DT. We need a big, sloppy, giant DT, we got enough of these smaller, more athletic cats.

He's 6'3" 295lbs. 2007/2008 Brick Muller award winner & 2007/2008 d-line mvp
He was the one formidable piece of that Cal line. Most the other guys were speedy lightweights...Still not sure how he'd do in the NFL

Yeah and everybody gave the Jags an F LMAO

I thought about you when I saw this pick...
While the Jags got reamed by many for this pick, Mayock seemed to like it as well...
I'll tell you what, as a Cal fan, not happy to see him go...His name was all over the stat sheets every week. He was a true two gap tackle who was also disruptive in the passing game at the collegiate level....maybe he keeps it going
I'm telling you guys, this guy is under the radar.. I honestly think he is a sleeper.. But you're absolutely right, we will see how he does in the big boy league.

295 is not big AT ALL. Talk about fucking tiny for a DT. Definitely more suited as a 5 tech, maybe a 3 in a tampa 2 D
He has the frame to put on extra weight but may not need to. Knighton is a block eater. Tyson could wreck havoc with his speed against guards lined up one on one and on stunts. He is highly productive, and should be a solid pro. I don't see how people call him undersized when he matches the measurables of Gerald McCoy and nobody is calling that dude tiny. Bullshit arm chair GMing if you ask me. That said, Jax got poor value taking him at ten when they most likely could have traded down and added at least a mid round pick.

Jacksonville did reach a LOT by taking him in the 1st round, if they took him in the 2nd round then yeah, it'd be a completely different story.
This was a reach either way....The guy had a second round grade...
Combined with the fact that the Jags are a horrible drafting team...Well... you know the rest... You're a Raiders fan...
