The same things that are said about Mayweather can be said about Hopkins in a way.. Hopkins fights a very boring fight to the casual eye. But he is a grimey technician.

They key for the fight for Floyd is to use his footwork and defensive skills while bringing just enough action to Manny.. Because Pac is going to be coming forward the whole fight, everybody already knows that.

I think if De La Hoya was able to hit Floyd, and Judah was as well, Pac will hit him too..a lot. Ive seen pretty much all of Pacquiaos fights and I dont think hes all hype at all. His wars with the Mexican fighters were SICK. Hes the real deal. Hes also progressed a lot in his weight climb, shit Roach IMO is the best trainer in boxing.

On a real tip I was kinda just fuckin around but now that I think about it. Who has Pac fought? De la Hoya was a old and a bum, Hatton is a bum, and Cotto is more brawler than boxer. and Juan Manuel Marquez drew one fight against Manny (in which Marquez was knocked down 4 times in the fight... 3 times in the first) ... and he got the DRAW... Marquez lost only 2 rounds of that fight.. but beat the piss out of Manny for 8 out of the other 10 rounds.. So Manny got a DRAW only because of a 10-6 round..

The rematch Manny won on a split decision... which could have very easily gone the other way..

So Manny has not dominated everybody he has fought.. And he has had his ass whipped before.

I've seen tough as nails mexican and black fighters get f*cking destroyed by white and brazilian fighters and vice versa. Color means absolutely nothing, it's all about the chin. If you have a guy who knows HOW and WHERE to hit, it doesn't matter who you are, you will get dropped, ESPECIALLY in MMA. When you take padding away from the boxing gloves, you get dropped A LOT quicker. IMHO, from my experience, if I HAD to pick the guys who can take the MOST punishment by and large I would say samoans, russians and new zealanders.

But as a general rule, if ANYBODY takes a SOLID bare/semi-bare knuckle hit to the butt of the chin or behind the ear to throw off the equilibrium, they're gonna get dropped. I know it's common for everyone of a specific race to say THEY'RE the toughest fighters (mexicans think they're the best, whites think they're the best, blacks thinks they're the best etc.) but until some people actually get to EXPERIENCE the truth of competition and what really happens in real life fighting among SKILLED fighters, you'll never know just how far off base you are.
