I am an avid weightlifter and I train in mma and I have also trained extensively in conventional boxing gyms since I was 11.

I am a big fan of Ross Enamait and his training techniques. He is truly what embodies a hardcore athlete.

If you don't know about his routines check his site out http://rosstraining.com

I do alot of bodybuilding style training. But around may I am going to be doing a cycle that utilizes primarily bodyweight and I will implement some outboard weight for stimulus as well...

Here is an idea of how intese some of these exercises can be!

(they can all be done from home to!)

^^^^ this one is crazy!! I WILL do those clean jerks with a 120 by the end of summer!!

Also, another goal I am going to set is to be able to do the ab rolls with the wheels from standing position for reps of 15! - those are grueling..

AAAAND - last but not least, I HAVE to be able to do these by june for sets....

Yea man he is really inspiring... Over the last few years or so I have gotten away from traditional bodybuilding and strength training in favor of conditioning.

Really good shit

YEah I been working out with my boy, who developed this whole system using chains. This shit is so damn hard, B I can only do a few pushups with it. Imagine a pull up bar that is suspended in the center by one chain. The end of the bar has two equal length chains hanging from it.

With carabeaners, you can clip on multiple attatchments that allow you to do different excercises. IT is literally impossible to do ONE dip on this thing when you first start, because of your inability to balance while straining the muscle.

After a few days of messing with it, you get better and train your core to deal with the balance probs.. You get sore in places you didnt even know there muscles..its crazy.

That's what everybody says! "Its like a prison workout"

Thing that people forget though, is these exerices for agility, strength and coordination have been around as long as time itself!

Its pretty easy to think in this day and age that technology has made advancements, and they have. But technology only gives more accurate detail on an athletes measureables. The exercises haven't changed.

Yeah, the best condition Ive ever been in had basically nothing to do with weights. Ive seen more and more of the athletes here move to more unconventional training like that...and over here we have major altitude! Thats why Greg Jacksons fighters never get gassed out.

That's how this fool works out.. No weights, all back yard strategies.. He utilizes his environment and creates work outs with it.. He has a pretty damn good track record too.
