K, Barnes is going to do everything he can to be the starting Left Tackle and he is going to play great this year. Its a contract year and AL told him to prove himself and he would get a long term deal. Its the money. I now it. :619:

Q: Tom Cable said you'll compete at left tackle, but some think you'll be on the right side. Your plans?

A: "I'm so determined to be this franchise's left tackle for the next nine years. I know that's a big challenge but that's my goal. What better place to be a dominant left tackle than with the Raiders? I get a chance to come in here and start I'm not going to let it go."

I like.

The games Henderson started or played were like night and day from pussy boy...Now if Barnes can bring it harder than Henderson, or vice versa, our offense may have a chance to stay on the field. Not to mention Oren will be back.

Yep yep.

I'm excited to see how our run game develops!

All I know is that I got my $$$ on Henderson. Dude can pass block. Barnes supposedly has had trouble at times. I seen Henderson do just fine in the run game too. No favorites here Cable...MAY THE BEST MAN WIN...

I still would rather have him on the right side...who says you can't have a franchise RT for 13 years? If he ends up winning out the left side, that's cool...but I think Mario is far better suited for the left than right. It will probably become a competition between Mario and Pears for RT if Barnes wins the left side.

I'm so happy to have an attitude like that in the offensive line unit.. I like the confidence in himself, looks like it's going to be a battle after all in that position. He still has to take it away from Henderson though, and Henderson was impressive going up against Mario Williams. We will see what happens, because Henderson is more agile and athletic, but Barnes is more powerful..

Yup and Paul McQuistan too, he might be able to handle the right tackle position.

Good attitude, hopefully it translates on the field also.

Wonder what happens if he loses the starting LT spot... does he get angry and start complaining?

Hopefully he gets angry and plays beastly on the right side.
