With the Oakland Raiders making moves to solidify their roster, they still have work to do complete their remodeling project. There are still several holes left that they need to address if they expect to fulfill Coach Tom Cable's goal of the playoff tournament.

OL is still a concern as is WR but it seems the staff is content with what we have, at least at this point in the offseason.
I'd put the DL as a whole unit for #1 just because we have a bunch of players who don't really contribute against the run with any consistent positive effort.
#2 then is def safety.

if we could just make a trade to get a ligit WR like fargas and a3 and next years 2 for Boldin then we can draft Raji at 7 then take teh best safety with our number 2 pick!

I'd say draft this way...and try to trade down for more picks so you get better players
1. DT/NT type
2. DE
3. WR
4. MLB/SLB type (someone who can play either/or)
5. S
6. Blocking TE type

Trading down would be ideal. I don't think that its going to happen. Al never trades down especially in the 1st round. If Crabtree is there use him as bait for a team like Philly who has #21 and #28. Adding picks would make this draft a great one. We have too many holes to fill on defense. DT, DE, FS, LB, are all big needs. We need to try to stop the run, especially in the AFC West. A good pass rush would help a lot. We need a safety that could tackle. Another linebacker whether a middle or strong-side would help out a lot. We could either move Kirk outside with Howard and get a good middle linebacker. Or get a outside linebacker who could contribute right away. I don't think Ricky Brown is the long term answer. Hopefully we stay away from the fastest cornerback in the draft. Who knows with Al still calling the shots. We can only hope for the best...:619:
